Draught at The Queen and Beaver Public House, Toronto
Black color with creamy head, probably they use some nitrogen. It has a light aroma of roasted malt. Smooth mouthfeel, with nice flavor of roasted malt and dark chocolate; quite dry, but rich as well.
Very good Stout, well balanced.

Cask at C’est What, Toronto
Black color, with small sparse head. This is a showcase of good coffee, with a light fruity touch from the hop; lean mouthfeel, dry; long coffeish final; great balance, great fresh feeling.
(more a hoppy Stout than a Black IPA, not the same body structure)
Excellent.

Draught at C’est What, Toronto
Black color, with small head. The arm aof roasted malts is mild and a bit biscuity. The flavor is also biscuity, with some dark chocolate;it’s quite dry and rather weak; light vanilla impression.
Not bad, but it’s like having a chocolate muffin from Starbucks; maybe with some more body it would be better.

Black color, with no head. Both aroma and flavor remind of cheap coffee; the mouthfeel is weak and dry; ordinary bitterness.

Draught at C’est What, Toronto
Amber color, with creamy head. The arma is simple, the flavor is creamy, with caramel and light smoke too. There is a light impression of sulfur or goat cheese.
Simple but pleasant.

Cask at C’est What, Toronto
Hazy amber color; small head. The aroma is a bit buttery, the flavor even more; there is some toffee, lightly yeast fruitiness, correct bitterness; the final is just a bit dry and astringent.
Easy and a bit flawed.

Draught at C’est What, Toronto
Amber color, with small creamy head. Nice aroma of hops, some hop resins, light yeast. Caramel flavor, semi-dry, with hop resins, strong bitterness, and a bit of dusty and earthy character, unclean. Long final.

Blond color, hazy, no head. The aroma is breadish, maybe even a bit feety. The flavor is light, a bit buttery and breadish; low bitterness, with very light hop fruity touch.
Problematic.

Smells nutty, slightly oaky. It pours black with creamy small head. The orange in taste is very subtle, this seems more lie a stout than the vegetarian category. Decent. Can’t detect these spices the menu talks about though.

Smells like nothing almost. A little malt maybe. There’s some bitter rye taste on the after but minimal body and character. Pours a clear red with some lacing.
