(Bottle 33 cl) Pale pilsener golden with a very small, lightly creamy head. Lovely hop-aromatic nose, but it’s gone in no time leaving no traces whatsoever. Some sweetness from the malt and some stickiness from the corn. Only a weak hint of hops. 230605

Pale yellow fizzy, light hazy lager with a froathy head. Wheaty malt with notes of sulfur. Thin corn and malt taste with chalky notes and very light hops. Thin and watery. Still, thanks for this Icelandic find, Piscator.

Dull gold, smells like butter and grass, an attempt at czech gone very wrong. Flat and full of butter. Jesus, this is fucking terrible.

Very clear gold, white head, big bubbles, unstable. Nose of grain and malt. Subdued malts' taste and bitterish finish. Watery mouthfeel. There is more acid from the CO2 than the apperent saturation would make you believe. Long-ish bitter palate. OK.

Very pale yellow, totally clear. Traces of very slight white head. Nose of chaff, a whiff of cocos, grain & vaguely iodine. Taste is unbelievably subdued, but you get an impression of a balanced bitter hop / sweet pale malt ratio. Given you can taste trough the water. Mouthfeel is VERY watery, no carbonation to speak of. No aftertaste, neither. If this is the same as one of the other listed Víking brews, I blame my pal Eirikur for sending me an Icelandic beer he didn't rate himself. The ABV seems to confirm this. What "Gylltur", let alone the rest of the label means, I've no idea. Unless it means "lots of water, precious little else"?

A light yellow beer with an OK head. The aroma is slightly sour malt aroma - as if it has been brewed on brewing cereal. The flavor is also slightly sour but with an OK malt taste and ending on a slight bitterness. A very standard pilsener

A light yellow beer with no head. The aroma is sour as if there has been used brewing cereal in it. The flavor is kind of flat and a bit sour - but it''s an OK maltblend that has been used for it. It doesn''t really taste like a beer.
