Draft sample at RI. Brewfest 2023. Flavor is as described. Pineapple, soft yeast with a very mild hint of coconut. Texture is crest with a refreshing quality. No residential sugar. Very nice!

Draft sample at RI. Brewfest 2023. Great depth of malt. Coffee, chocolate, caramel. Thick body with a great smooth texture. Well crafted!

Taster pour on tap at the Rhode Island Brew Fest. It's a very, very dark brown--virtually opaque--with thin cap of beige head, quickly fading to a ring and light lacing. Aroma is really nice strong roasted malt and coffee, dark chocolate. Taste is strong coffee--some sweetness but a bit to the charred side. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste with lingering bitterness. Overall, too carbonated and, while aroma is nicely balanced, the flavor is a little too bitter for my liking but good strength, especially for 4.5%.
