[33cl can from Beer52.] An opaque peaty brown pour with a close beige head; fresh hedgerow hop aroma; smooth in the mouth with a blackcurrant taste; and a fruity finish with some roasted malts. Very tasty.

Friday evening, 28th February 2025, Margie is out having a girly meal out and I'm home alone with Bertie (my 12 year old Collie) and having a mini beer tasting. Last beer of the session, a 330ml can of this (via Beer52), poured into my old Gordon's thistle shaped glass. Deep tanned head, dark brown body. Dark chocolate aroma and initial taste, slight milky feel but it's not creamy or smooth, nice though!

From tap at Bierlokaal De Uiver, Haarlem. Caramel and milk chocolate, creme brulée, vanilla, toffee, fudge. Pretty sweet, mild alcohol, sugary finish. Medium to full body, soft feel. As intended.

Keg at If It Ain't Much, 19/02/2025.
Black topped with a khaki head that escapes to the edge.
Nose is dark malts, roasted tones, bourbon, spice, charr, toffee.
Taste comprises chocolate, molasses, bourbon, dried fruit rinds, subtle spice, toffee fudge, figs.
Full bodied, light oily feel, semi drying close peppered with a warming boost.
Tidy BA impy if not quite from the top drawer.
