4 oz draft. Aroma shows pineapple and very soft passionfruit. Flavor has a flimsy cracker malt backbone with the passionfruit and pineapple. The flavor is decent. Just wish these brews weren’t all so thin.

4 oz draft at the brewery. Pitch black color. Aroma has soft dark fruit, prune, raisins. Flavor is very similar. Alcohol is not noticeable. Yet, I was hoping for a lot more body for the style. Pretty thin.

4 oz draft at the brewery. Brown in color, zero head. Aroma shows mild oats, weak chocolate. The flavor would indicate it is lighter then 5.3%. It shows almost zero malt backbone. Thin would be a compliment. This has oats? Wish it would taste more like it smelled. This needs a lot of work.

Mixed review taster pour from a can at CT Brew Fest 4/2024 and 4 oz. pour on tap at the brewery 10/24. Opaque, milky light brown-dark yellow w/thin head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong herb and fruit (can); sweet lemon & orange (tap). Taste is herbs and grain (can); strong orange creamsicle & lemon. Smooth, creamy texture, soft carbonation finish as taste. Later version is much better--tap better than can or reworked recipe?

Pours pitch black with no head, some light brown lacing at the sides of the glass., almost no carbonation. Aroma of licorice, rich cocoa. Taste has rich chocolate, some coffee beans, fully-bodied and flavorful, some dark fruit that accents the prior flavors wonderfully, vanilla. Not oily or bitter in the slightest. Palate has some sweet licorice notes that linger on the nose, clean body on the tongue. Some faint hops and carbonation dance on the tongue. Absolutely fantastic.

Brewery draught, 12/15/23. B vitamin heavy urine. Hazy. Small ring of white bubbles. Yeast, lemony hop, cracker. Pretty vague hard to get much. Earthy, lemony, spongy again. Weird carbonation. Table sugar and an oily, sugary, estery finish with very little bitterness. Strange.
