Can from trade with AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Opaque black with nice sparkle and viscosity, decent head with good retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted coffee and dark chocolate (chocolate-covered espresso bean) and mild vanilla. Taste follows aroma with addition of mild fruit/berry. Smooth, thick texture, full body, average carbonation, mild hint of alcohol but basically well covered. Bittersweet finish. This delivers on all counts. Really, really nice!

Undated can from AirforceHops, thanks, Chris! Drunk 9/12/24. Dark. Large, auburn-tinged, tan head, well-retained. Smells soft and rich. No big roast, no sign of green pepper or any coffee gone-bad. Bold coffee indeed, yet it's rich and well-blended with the malts. There's a light, but apparent fudge, dark chocolate and gentle smokiness that builds complexity. No sign of sugar or alcohol. Big, rich, thick, juicy, syrupy, sweet, compelling. Wow! These guys know whatsup. This is like the best of Imperial Stout sans barrel-aging. It's everything I want from a barrel-aged stout yet it's not barrel-aged, so that's impressive. Rich, thick, malty, syrupy in a good way with no old-style roast. Coffee rich and fruity, juicy almost, not-overdone. Lingering fruitiness, vanilla, dark chocolate, lovely coffee and lingering rich maltiness. No sign of alcohol whatsoever. Wow, can someone please get me some of these guys barrel-aged stouts?!!
