Bottle, batch 411. Pours light yellow, with an enormous head that fairly quickly recedes to a thin layer. Aroma is sweet yeast, with hay, honey and light wood. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is wheat and sweet, peppery yeast, with hay, banana and fruity, bubblegum notes. Straw and hay in the finish.

Tåkete lys brun med høyt kremete offwhite skum. Lukter epler, gjær, hvete og noe karamell. Lett. Vannete, korn, svært lett bitterhet, noe tørr avslutning.

Bouteille 50cl de Meny, Drammen. Batch# 398, BB 02.12.2016. Orangé, col blanc-cassé. Arôme au nez poudre de cacahuètes - boiled, fruité houblonné, pointe herbacée de montagne voire médicinale. Palais est malté, p^le et grillé, encore une fois je note ce profil de boiled peanuts, léger houblonné un peu d’agrumes et citronné sur un fini sec et une fine amertume fleurie. Retrouve un côté vieille levure qui prend un peu le dessus sur la fin. Sec et poussiéreux avec un côté papaye sèche. Pour le prix c’est assez décevant. C’est pas mauvais même si j’apprécie le côté cacahuète, mais pas spécialement le but de départ de la recette.

500 ml bottle. Unclear yellow/golden body with a lacing, foamy white head. A bit mild aroma of yeast, banana and some citric fruit. Flavor is light and refreshing with banana, citric fruit and yeast. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. Easy and decent take on the German Hefe weissbier without offering anything special.

Bottle. A hazy, yellowish golden beer with a dense, two-finger off-white head. Some lacing. The aroma is lightly grassy and fruity-sweet, with banana, some orange and lemon, and hints of biscuity hops. It’s medium bodied and quite dry on the palate, with a nice carbonation level, although a tad low for the style. Nice bitterness, Some puke-ish, sulphury notes both initially and in the end, with generic fruityness dominating. Not a bad one, I especially like the bitterness, but it’s not very interesting anyway. 160514

Bottle. A hazy, pale yellowish golden beer with a small, white head. The aroma is grassy, with hay and grains. Some pine cones and a faint touch of cooked vegetables and sulphur. It’s very dry on the palate, with a nice but a bit high carbonation. Medium body. Nice bitterness, which feels high for the style. Sort of sweet fruity flavor, with some hay, grass and a touch of spent grains and peas. Long fruity-sweet finish with grass and peas. Sort of decent, but far from interesting. 160514
