We are one of Canada’s original microbreweries founded in 1984. Quality and authentic beer styles have always been at the core of the Granville Island Brewing philosophy. While native to Vancouver, our following spans across Canada. Consumers can drink our beer in almost every province. Good times and good beer should know no boundary. 12oz pour at Biercraft. Pours clear dark amber with white head. Aroma has a ton of vanilla and sweet malts; like cookie dough. Flavour is also dominated by vanilla with sweet bread malts underneath. Objectively, this is an unbalanced vanilla gimmick beer, but for technical qualities aside, this is also a comfort beer.

(Tap) Clear mid brown with small tan head. Chocolate aroma. Medium body, well carbonated. Pleasant and interest taste with a lot going on. There’s chocolate, vanilla and toffee together with some tartness and a hint of smokiness in the finish. Very pleasant.

(Tap) Clear red amber with tiny head. Strong aroma of raspberry jam. Good mouthfeel with plenty of carbonation. Taste is nicely gently tart with plenty of raspberry. There’s some light malt, some lemon notes and a perfume hint. Very enjoyable.

(Tap) Clear golden with tiny head. Aroma has hints of honey. Medium body with plenty of gentle carbonation. Some citrus in the start, joined by subtle honey and bread flavours. Crisp finish with modest bitterness. Very nice.

355ml can. Pours a clear orange amber with a small, creamy, short lived, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of lightly roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and molasses. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, chocolate, brown sugar and salt in a sweet finish. Light to medium body with a sticky texture and average carbonation. Not bad, but too sweet to have more than one.

355ml can. Pours a clear orange amber with a small, creamy, short lived, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, chocolate, orange and light floral hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, orange, chocolate, vanilla and spicy hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Not sure they improved on the original. A bit sweet, but ok.
