Keg at Hopmonk Tavern, Sonoma, 28/04/14. Murky orange amber with a moderate beige covering that retains well. Nose is banoffee pie, clove, banana smoothie, spice. Taste comprises banoffee pie, stewed dates, fruit loaf, light vanilla, spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Nice dunkelweizen - the best of the 4 Hompmonk beers I had!

Keg at Hopmonk, Sonoma, 28/04/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is light csrsmel, biscuit malt, hint of vanilla, nutty pangs. Taste comprises much the same. Medium bodied, prickly and overcarbed, semi drying close. So so affair, had this down as an ESB or an amber ! APA - really? Where are the hops?

Keg at Hopmonk, Sonoma, 28/04/14. Clear light golden with a moderate off white covering, carbonation well evident. Nose is malt forward, bready pangs, light citrus, grain, straw, fresh clean aromas. Taste comprises pale malts, grass, lemon rind, light bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent crisp clean kellerbier.

Keg at Hopmonk, Sonoma, 28/04/14. Clear golden amber with a moderate light beige covering that retains. Nose is a little thin, light hop presence, caramel malt, citric rinds, bitter orange, straw. Taste comprises orange pith, caramel malt, peachy tang, tangerine, on the sweet side, light pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness. Easy drinking IPA but too sweet for me and lacking bitterness/hop presence. Ok.

Pours gold. Not much haze, if any. Pours gold. Aroma is mildly bready with a nice grassiness. Tastes pretty much like that. It’s a very good lager.
