Bottle, 10C. Dark brown with a coat of beige head. Aroma of mocha, light roast, grass, some prunes. Balanced taste has light roast, coffee and grassy bitterness. Pleasant weight - just big enough to let the flavours fill the mouth. Brief dry mocha finish. Plain and good.

500ml bottle. Gold with a fluffy white head. Mild aroma of grain, lemon, grapes and earth. Taste is quite sweet with - again - some grapes as well as cereals and vanilla. Good balancing bitterness but the citrus in the hop note seems out of place to me. Not my sort of thing. [2.2]A bit cloudy gold with a nice white head that lasts well. Grainy, flabby, a tad unclean. Old lemons. Still not my sort of thing.

Bottle. Black with a light tan head thatβs big in a pint glass then fades but never disappears. Aroma has nuts, chocolate, grass and a little smoke. Taste has discreet roasted barley, chocolate. Slight coffee astringency. Balanced and mouthfilling. Dry roasted finish is rather short. Not a special beer, but another NZ beer that does everyday really well.
