Description
Former name: "Münch-Bräu Eibau".

In 1810, the Eibau brewery was established by the Zittau brewing community.
The location of Eibau was confirmed by King Friedrich August I (1806-1827 King of Saxony) as the first rural brewery in the Zittau area. Since then, beer has been brewed here in the heart of the Upper Lausitz.

Can 50 cl. Brownish, cloudy, loose foam. Aroma: yeast, banana, caramel, slightly damp rag. Taste: sweet with a yeasty sourness, caramel, slightly dried banana, quite drinkable.

Can 50 cl. Golden, clear, almost white head. Aroma: sweet, like molasses, candy, stale malt, something odd. Taste: strong, malty and alcoholic, not much hops, some kind of vague strong lager, and rather sad.

Brown with a large fluffy beige head. Grainy and phenolic with a strong wheat bread presence. Long finish. Medium body.

Can 50 cl. Honey-yellow, cloudy, good white foam. Aroma: cloves, banana, wheat loaf. Taste: slightly sour, dough, baguette, a little banana, pretty ordinary wheat.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass with a small head. Coco aroma. Starts fine malty, shy roasty notes, a lot of coco. Some soapy notes as well. Finish could be more balanced. Not my cup of tea...
