Former name: "Münch-Bräu Eibau".
In 1810, the Eibau brewery was established by the Zittau brewing community.
The location of Eibau was confirmed by King Friedrich August I (1806-1827 King of Saxony) as the first rural brewery in the Zittau area. Since then, beer has been brewed here in the heart of the Upper Lausitz.

Half Time out of New York provided me with a 16.9 oz can. The sampling will be in my Cowtown tulip glass, I lift the tab and pour. The body is dark brown followed by a creamy top of khaki tan foam. I smell grain and some roastiness. A drink now, not the fullness I expected but still all right. Scorched grain, pecans, field, malt and a touch of chocolate. Not bad.

Can. Yellow, cloudy, fluffy white head. Aroma: banana, apple, wheat, a little yeast. Taste: wheat, sour yeast, a little banana, light spice, a little denser than usual, but nothing outstanding.

Yellow orange brew and some small head. Nose is cloves and banana. Tatses of bread and banana and cloves. Like a Hefe but without the wheaty texture. Creamy. Not bad for cheap purchase from total wine.

Tap at the Dresdner Altmarkt Glüh-Hütte which advertises it heavily. Cola brown body, off-white head. Paler than many dunkels (that aren't from East Germany). Caramelly, simple aroma. Caramelly, simple, smooth taste, dare I say empty, vague cardboard, vague herbal hops, low bitterness. At least not as sweet as some local beers, but quite mediocre.

Not horrific. Nice and cold. One of two cold beers available (Heineshit doesn't count). Yes, I'm a beer slut and will drink and check in anything. 😎 #dasbierterminator
