(Bottle, 2008 vintage, at Timo A’s tasting, thanks) Dark brown and cloudy. Small white head. Fruitiness, malts and sweetness in aroma. Medium bodied and dryish palate with quite a lot of carbonation. Malts, sweetness, little bit of rye bread, bitterness, molasses, fruitiness and hint of dried plum in taste. Malty aftertaste.

Amber with a lasting white head. Caramel aroma with pine and grapefruit. Sweet caramel malty flavour with toffee and biscuit notes. A fruity touch and some hop bite makes it rather drinkable

Bottled at PBF. Cloudy brownish amber, fair sized head. Biscuits and yeast comes through first. Sweet and full bodied with clean mouthfeel. Lots of cooke malt, notes of marzipan and phenols. Some late alcohol and bitterness.

50cl bottle. Past BB date. Trade with The Wolf. Pours pitch black with a settling creamy brown head and lacings. Nose is roasted cold coffee, chococolate and ashy cigaret smoke kind of a homebrew feel. Smooth palate - a bit sticky. Taste is roasted coffee, some liquorice, cabbage and citrussy hops. Quite drinkable - I just choose not to smell while drinking . . Decent.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Starts very dry and strong, roasty-malty, prickly and scratchy. Notes of liquorice and strong coffee. Finish a bit unbalanced.

Bottled. A hazy red-brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet herbal combined with lighter notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and chocolate, leading to a dry herbal finish. Not clean as a brown ale should be.
