Endelig er det tid for RBHD-møte, denne gangen ombord på Fridtjofen, og vi nærmer oss de siste doseringer i kveldens behandling av diagnosen (Repetitive Beer Hunting Disorder): brunsvart med fint beige skum som varer. Engelsk lakrids, franskbrent espresso, overmodne brombær, urtebitterhed. Ræt lækker, tør og overbevisende.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours pitch black and opaque with a little, light brown head. Distinct sweetness in the nose and a vanilla touch. Body is kinda light for 9.2%, but it's very true to style, even with a vague roasty tartness. However, the sweetness obviously dominates. Not bad - if you like (very) sweet Stouts. 221019

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear hazelnut brown with a small, beige head. Nose is rather subdued, has some vague caramelly malt. Medium body, distinct smoky note and again these subtle caramel malts, toffeeish. Clean and alright but a little lightweight in the body. I would've loved some more guts here. But then again, it doesn't pretend to be a Wee Heavy. 221019

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a dense, brownish head. Rough, roasty nose with a distinct smoky edge and some British licorice. Rich, full body, again heavy roast and dense licorice notes with the smoke following you all the way through. Roasty bitter finish. Feels much more potent than 7,8%! 171019
