330ml bottle, on return to Hazebrouck after the French Divide. Bought in Alsace. Pours a deep, hazed dark brown. Nice subtle roast on initial sip with a glowing sweet toffee afterburn.. going well with a merveilleux from Houcke.

Honey, biscuit malt, and straw. Cloudy golden yellow with moderate head. Moderately sweet lemon, biscuit malt and moderately bitter quinine and hay flavor. Good body.

0.5l bottle from E.Leclerc RIBEAUVILLE. Head is big, tan, good retention. Colour is coppery, hazy. Aroma is malty, caramel, leaves, some berries. Taste is medium malty base, light bready, bit caramel, herbal, toast, decent bitterness, medium carbonation, actually not bad, enjoyed.

Taste is medium malty base, light grainy, herbal, citrus, bit orange peels, decent bitterness, medium carbonation, ok for the style and bio so bit raw feeling, drinkable.

Taste is medium malty base, bit better than aroma, not so yeasty with honey tones, decent bitterness, medium carbonation, ok for farmhouse, drinkable.

Bottle at apartment in Strasbourg. I seem to remember that it was uite good but I had had rather a lot todrink by the time I had this one.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a coudy, opaque black with a smallish, rough, beige head. Dusty, chocolatey aroma with a discreet roastiness. Medium body, dry chocolate and cocoa with hardly any bitterness. Clean and simple, straight and light Stout. 130225
