Ever so slightly hazy golden and light copper coloured body with a thick three to four centimetre tall off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a nice cap on top. Aroma of light caramelised sugars and a touch of toffee, but more nuts, grain and malts than any sugars, without any real hops or bitterness here, but some of dryness is noticeable. Light to Medium-bodied; Rich caramel and nutty flavours show at first with a good sweetness of toffee and pitted fruits, but this is very mild throughout, with no real complexity or depth at all. Aftertaste shows a lot of the nuttiness and more of a grainy, earthiness from the malts than any real flavours that are picked up from the sugars, with a relatively strong yeast and breadiness at the end. Overall, a decent beer with some very subdued and grainy flavours more than the caramel or sweet notes that one might be (including me) expecting. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from the Russ' Market in Lincoln, Nebraska on 24-August-2021 for US$1,67 sampled at my house here in Washington on 28-July-2022.

Draft/Fest. A- Weak, slightly malty, cocoa. A- Brown color, brown liquid, beige head. T- Sweet, mild maple, cocoa. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- I took this as a knock off from Funky Buddha who killed it with their Maple Bacon Porter. First off, they can't even get the description right. Bacon porter but think sausage links. Knock number one....Really this was a slightly sweet maple porter that sort of worked. No smoked meat or anything going on there. Average at best. I tried to like this one.

Draft. A- Molasses, mild sweetness. A- Dark copper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Bitter, dry, cigar ash, wood. P- Medium body, dry texture, flat carbonation, dry finish. O- This had a beautiful aroma of pure molasses and appeared a beautiful copper color. The taste however was like sucking on a damn roof shingle. Really terrible flavor. I tried and tried to like it but couldn't . Very dry, bitter, and ashy. Clearly the start of something good but poor execution. I think I need a cheese grater to scrap the flavor off my tongue. Which is too bad because I thought this was going to be awesome at first.

Draft. A- Mixed berries. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Berries, straw. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Another silly beer with a silly name from LH. Pretty bland.

Draft. A- Wheat, mild orange. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Wheat, orange. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Okay. Bland really. Wheat and some orange essence is about it.

Draft. A- Weak. A- Copper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Malty, bland, grainy, mild coffee. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, bland finish. O- At first I thought the bartender gave me the Lazy Horse lager as this is about what it smelled and taste like. Sure enough they gave me the correct beer, this is just that weak. Only as it warms and you drink more do the stout qualities start to appear. Not a big fan of this one. Why are white stouts becoming so popular around here? Had a mild tootsie roll like flavor.

What you would expect. Overwhelming artificial caramel, good amount of salt. To sweet for this dude. Whoa...
Rennat42 (5622) reviewed Guava Pear Kolsch from Lazy Horse Brewing 6 years ago
Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 3 | Flavor - 3 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 3.5
Draft. A- Cheap booze, mild pear, grain. A- Pale yellow color, clear liquid, white head. T- Cheap booze, grains, straw. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, astringent finish. O- I should've known better but Lazy Horse entices me with these concoctions and always come up way underwhelming. This was really bad. Tasted almost no guava and there was mild pear but it was like rotten overripe fruit. Even the base beer seemed off. I don't think anything was wrong it was simply a terrible beer to begin with.
