(Cask at White Star, Liverpool, 26 July) Colour is dark amber with frothy head. Nose is fruity, nutty with citrus (grapefruit, lemon) and some dusty hops. Taste starts malty and nutty, then turns fruity with citrus (orange, grapefruit) and finishes in a long dusty bitterness. Complex is the word, and very tasty regarding the low abv. Well done.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 06. Very dark ruby with bubbly beige head. Toffee, dark malts on aroma. Doesn’t have the mouthfeel or intensity of flavour to make it interesting. Has some powder. For a brewery that does golden beers, this needs work. Dull.
