12 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Mostly clear golden amber with a bit of off-white head. Aromas of pumpkin, sweet spices, some roasted coffee. Tastes of pumpkin, caramel, light toasty notes, light coffee, malt, some vegetal notes. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 11/13/15

Aroma: The aroma is pine and grapefruit, some over-ripened fruit, and a bit of malt
Appearance: Pours a clear orange color with a lasting, frothy, off-white head and strong lacing
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, both sweet and bitter, over-ripe fruit takes the flavor down
Palate: The body is medium, smooth and a bit sticky, with a soft carbonation, and a mid-dry close
Overall Impression: There's a lot that works in this one but there's a slightly flawed note that coming off kind of like over-ripened fruit. Otherwise, I feel like I would like it quite a bit more, but this one off-note is really difficult for me to get past.

Anise and tootsie roll nose. Ruby black, medium brown head with no retention. Licorice, tootsie roll, and horehound. Medium body soft carbonation, sugary sweet, but not syrupy. Tastes good, but I maintain this is at best alcopop, at worse spiked soda, but not beer.

Julia’s, Queens: pours dark brown with little head. Aroma is root beer. Taste is similarly root beer. Basically this is a good and not too sweet root beer that may have some alcohols in it. In taste though it is very similar to the non alcoholic beverage (NAB) version.1-

Can. A- Root beer. A- Black color, black liquid, fizzy brown head. T- Root beer. P- Light body, average texture, high carbonation, slightly medicinal finish. O- Not near as good as Not Your Fathers Root Beer and honestly I didn’t think they would taste a bit of difference. Very high on carbonation and leaves a slightly off after taste. Not my thing.

12 ounce bottle. Deep Amber orange color. Small creamy beige head. Aroma of toasted malt, cloves and allspice. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor has subdued pumpkin pie spices with coffee and nutty notes. Finishes spicy and dry. A bit thin, but not bad.
