12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled June 2012. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Some good foamy lacing clings to the glass as well. Aromas of caramel, bread, grass, orange, mango, pine, earth, and herbal spiciness. Pretty good aromas with decent strength and balance; a bit too herbal and grassy. Taste of orange, grapefruit, pine, caramel, biscuit, floral, and herbal spiciness. Fair amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of orange, grapefruit, pine, caramel, grass, and herbal spiciness on the finish for a bit. Good flavor balance; with a nice malt/bitterness balance as well. No cloying flavors or astringent bitterness; a pretty clean finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming after the finish noticed. Overall this is a good DIPA. Some good hop/malt balanced flavors, and very smooth to sip on. Quite pleasant and enjoyable for a DIPA. It is unlike most that are in your face with a lot of hops and bitterness.

A blonde IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, a sulfur malt with grassy hops, grainy. In mouth, a smooth British hops, grassy, not bad, but nothing special. Can at Mondial 2012, June 9 2012.

A deep dark brown bock with a thick lacing brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with molasses, dark plums, light cherry acidity, very nice. In mouth, a smooth grassy and acidic bock with ground cherries, light peaty dak malt, light lactic acids, nice. Bottle about 3 years old.

12 ounce bottle into pilsener glass, bottled June 2012. Pours lightly hazy golden straw color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing on the glass, and light carbonation streaming up. Aromas of lemon, herbal, pear, apple, earth, grass, bread, cracker, and light spiciness. Pretty nice aromas with good balance and decent strength. Taste of lemon, bread, pear, pepper, cracker, herbal, apple, earth, and spiciness. Decent amount of herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of light fruit, pepper, bread, and earthy spices on the finish for a short bit. Good flavor balance and complexity; nice bitterness/sweetness balance. Pretty dry on the finish as expected. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with pretty muh zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice pilsner! Good hop flavor presence and balance. Quite enjoyable and very easy to drink. Well done.

Can. Light orange and citrus peel aroma. Golden yellow with giant head. Lemon, stale barley malt and mild orange peel hops flavor. Okay but definitely below the average IPA. Never really considered 5.5% to be ’light’ alcohol either.

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a hazy orange-apricot color with a medium sized creamy white head that left some lacing. The aroma was floral, piney and grapefruity hops though a touch vague. The flavor was sweet and tangy with moderate floral and citric hops and light pine with a caramel undertone. Medium length mixed hop finish. Medium body. Decent.

12oz bottle from Crossroads Beer & Wine, Burlington, MA. Cola like appearance - deep magohany brown with a ring of cream head; aroma of vanilla and chocolate; rather thin with a sweet chocolate malt taste with a hint of coffee towards the dry finish.

12oz bottle from Crossroads Beer & Wine, Burlington, MA. The chocolate aroma leaps out as soon as the bottle is opened, but develops a more maple syrup vibe on pouring, one of the most attractive smells I’ve ever come across in a beer; the colour is deep chestnut brown with a thin tan head; it’s smooth and silky in the mouth with lots of dark cohocolate; but the finish is rather thin and watery with maple syrup sweetness and some light dryness - I was hoping for more.

12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled Feb 2012. Pours pitch black color with a nice 1 finger dense khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Some nice soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt, coffee, cola, earth, cream, dark fruit, and light smoke. Some nice aromas with good strength and balance. Taste of big milk chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, cream, coffee, slight fruit, earth, and light smoke. Very small roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, vanilla, cream, coffee, and roasted malt on the finish for a good bit. Big malty flavors with good balance; and no cloying sweetness. Medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very creamy, slick, and thick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming present on the finish. Extremely smooth to sip on. Overall this is a damn nice and very unique imperial stout. A ton of chocolate flavors with good balance; and extremely smooth for being 11%. Really well done effort.
