Third, cask in fine condition at The Heart of Northumberland, Hexham. A misty late straw coloured body, crocheted lacing from a transparent layer. Promising aroma of ripe citrus. Flavoured with grain and herbal hops. Rounded, light bittersweet finish. Easy to drink. Nice. (08.02.2019).

Keg, third,, at The Stonewell Tap in Lancaster. Shared with Finn. Filmy layer to a clear orange coloured body. Plenty of lacing on the glass. Moderate smell of apricot and herbal hops. Fresh apricots and peaches to the taste profile. Ends bittersweet. Medium bodied. Pretty nice. (06.02.2019)

Cask ale at White Cross in Lancaster. Shared with Finn. Remaining pearl white head, upper part lacing, clear copper coloured body. Vague smell of dark bread, hints of dried fruits.. Moderate flavours of biscuit and dark malty. Bittersweet ending. Accepted. (06.02.2019).

Cask ale at White Cross in Lancaster. Shared with Finn. Unclear copper coloured body, spotty lacing from a filmy layer. Moderate aromas of doughy fruits. Taste of toffee, apricot and piney hints towards the ending. Slightly bitter finish. Fine depth. Pretty nice. (06.02.2019).

Half-pint, cask ale at Sir Richard Owen in Lancaster. Shared with Finn. Off-white head blanketing the glass. Next to clear copper coloured body. Smell of caramel malts and apricot. Similar taste, nice blend of caramel and dried fruit. Ends with a bittersweet touch. Medium bodied. Satisfying. (06.02.2019).

Can from Morrisons Supermarket, Todmorden. Clear golden with an extremely light carbonation and a small head. Strongish tasting pale ale, with the former subduing the latter to an extent. It's fairly hoppy in its nose.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers!]. Clear, orangey, dark golden to amber colour with average, thick, creamy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Piney and slightly citrusy hoppy as well as caramel malty aroma, concentrated notes of lemon, pine, resin, almond overtones. Taste is bitter, piney and minimally citrusy hoppy, notes of resin, orange zest, a touch of purulence, malty basis with an almond touch; lingering bitter hoppy finish. Oily texture, smooth, soft and silky palate.
