Volo Cask Days 2009. Loads of roast in this beauty. Dark char roast, touches of coffee even. Not much hops around except for a slight bitterness in the finish. A real treat for schwarz fans.

Cask days 2012, called quagmire lager.
Odd sour malt aroma, wet grass, wet hay. Low bitterness, semi sweet malts. Odd funky flavor, really detracts from the subtle tasty malts. Sour cooked vegetables, and cut grass.

nice golden pils like pour. A good white fluffy head. Aroma is sweet malt, and an odd lemony sourish aroma. There are some odd swet/spour corny notes, and again that lemony flavour somes through, this is odd. The malt backbones comes thorugh in the finish. Quite an odd pils, but reallly it is tasty, and quenching.

473mL can, pours a clear yellow with a small white head. Nose brings out grassy notes, some cabbage and straw. Flavour is along the same lines, with grassiness, cereal, straw and some cabbage. A little too skunky, not grassy or biting enough. It's okay.

Smells faintly like caramel. Pours red without much head but some lacing. Carbonation isn’t super high for a ten dollar pitcher on College and Bathhurst Street. Aftertaste is a little sour and that’s it. Not great.

Actually a lot more decent than I hoped for. Smell is a little malty, pours golden with no head. High carbonation. Taste has a definite bitter crsip at the end. A little grain musk as well. Not bad.
