Great pour and a good initial smells but doesnβt really follow through. Pours a really dark amber with super awesome head and lacing. Carpet lacing. Finishes with medium bitterness, and a little citrus. Tap at Black Squirrel.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 3/3/2014. Pours hazy/murky deep gold color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of bright grapefruit, lemon peel, tangerine, orange zest, coriander, clove, black pepper, herbal, grass, wheat, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus hops, fruity/spicy yeast, coriander, and pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of bright grapefruit, lemon peel, tangerine, orange zest, coriander, clove, black pepper, herbal, grass, wheat, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of earthy spiciness/hop bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon peel, tangerine, orange zest, coriander, clove, black pepper, wheat, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of bright citrus hops, fruity/spicy yeast, coriander, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice white IPA! All around good balance and complexity of bright citrus hops, fruity/spicy yeast, coriander, and pale malt flavors; and extremely smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Location: Draft at Surf City, 6/28/14
Aroma: The nose of this one is citrus zest, wheat, and some spice
Appearance: The beer pours a hazed golden color with a smallish head
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, citrus/lemon and spice mostly, some what notes
Palate: the body is light-medium, it has an average-plus carbonation, and an okay feel
Overall Impression: I thought this was an okay beer. Nothing more than that though. Just an okay beer.

From a can has big foamy head, almost spilled over. Big bubbles in this head, head is not creamy whatsoever. Odd medium hop aroma. Tastes like a highly hopped hefe, wtf. Astringent as the session continues. Lots of chunks of junk pour into the brew fromthe bottom of thwe can. Hey, I like sediment but yikes holy mackerel, this stuff has big chunks of white globs, almost makes me not want to drink it. I guess Iβm a sissy in that respect. Just got some in my mouth, pretty chewy. Pahtooie. Very unique ipa think here baby. Canβt think of anything I had that is like this. Yes its IPA but such a different turn on the typical style. Overall? Nasty Nellie. Yea, i really appreciate the look of this beer just wish it was more civilized on my taste buds.
