Description
The Oslo was the start of Galway Bay Brewery and remains our flagship pub based in Salthill; our owners Jason O’Connell and Niall Walsh added a brewery on site in 2009, making The Oslo one of the country’s first brew pubs. Since then Galway Bay Brewery has expanded operations to 11 bars based in Galway and Dublin and have grown and re-positioned the Brewery just outside of Galway in Oranmore. We now produce four core beers along with a plethora of rotational beers that are released throughout the year.
With the installation of our new brew house we are turning our focus towards exporting and making our beers available in the UK and Europe

Fucken speciality grain ... total bollocks of a style that detracts from my IPA count in general. Keg at Brew Dock, Dublin, 28/06/15. Lightly hazed golden amber with a decent light beige covering. Nose is orange pith, bubblegum, caramel malt, juicy hop strokes, light bread, honeydew melon. Taste comprises sweet citric jus, pine resin, light candy bar, pink grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with juicy hop bitterness. Solid brew soured by being allocated to a shit 1 style.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge Convention 2015. Thanks! Pours unclear, dark gold with a foamy white head. The nose is heavy with minerals and rindy orange. Bitter and minerally flavor, lightly sweet, with oppressive rind notes, some oily pine, grainy bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Resinous finish with more orange rind. OK. Perhaps not as fresh as it could be.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge convention, 24/01/2015. Thanks to BeersIveKnown for this one. Quite a bit of hype about this beer. Hazed golden orange coloured pour with a nice looking head. Aropma is sharp lemon citrus, dirty hop. Flavour is composed of tart blood orange, resin, orange oil, dank hop. Palate is semi sweet, resinous sticky on the tongue, moderate carbonation. A little dirty / rought round the edges.
