Description
United Dutch Breweries in Breda was created when the Belgian Interbrew closed the Breda Oranjeboom brewery in 2004, which it had taken over in 1995. Oranjeboom's export department carried out a management buy-out and continued independently with Oranjeboom's brand portfolio, which was acquired from Interbrew. The beers are not brewed anymore in Breda but elsewhere.

Canned. Pale golden, mid sized head. Foul stench of decomposing vegetables.Thin and hard, aggressive edgy metals. Plenty of rotting old fruits. No bitterness. Exceptionally low quality, even as far as cheap industrial 3.5% lagers go. Undrinkable.

0.5L can at 0.70€, very cold. Clear dark-Yellow body with bubbly white head short lasting. No nose, maybe some dust. Aroma has some malts and corn and some apple, dusty overall. Taste sweet with metallic bitter finish, anyway quite easy to drink.
Tried again on 04.07.2012, new design, same stuff.

Black colour with thin head. Burnt, bitter malts in the aroma. Flavour is treacle toffee and toasted malts. Only moderately bitter and is a little on the thin side in terms of texture but on the whole it’s a good stout.

Dark brown to black color, almost no head. Smell raisin, dark fruit, not really like an ’extra’ stout I would say. Taste as well, doesn’t taste like an extra stout to me. Bit weird but ok.
