Description
United Dutch Breweries in Breda was created when the Belgian Interbrew closed the Breda Oranjeboom brewery in 2004, which it had taken over in 1995. Oranjeboom's export department carried out a management buy-out and continued independently with Oranjeboom's brand portfolio, which was acquired from Interbrew. The beers are not brewed anymore in Breda but elsewhere.

Clear dark brown color, medium lasting brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolat, bread, rye, bit weak though. Weak watery taste, but with quite ordinary stout features. Watery palate. Certainly not bad.

Blond color. Light hop aroma. Light malt and hop; quite strong bitterness. A common lager.

Import Bottle. Ummm… yeah. A whole lotta nuttin' in a green bottle. Pale, pale color with taste to match. No noticable malt taste, just a little gassy. Somewhere there's a hint of hoppiness, but not enough to qualify as a flavor. Had this at a picnic which also had a keg of Miller Lite, and if I hadn't brought some homebrew to share, would've preferred the Miller Lite. Odd that a brewery whose label claims it's been around since 1653 has this as its only offerring. So this becomes my baseline “1 out of 5” beer: I wasn't especially offended, but there was just nothing good to it.

Light golden in colour, thick fluffy white head. Metallic macrobrew smell with no hops or malt dominant. Almost no taste, but what you do get is that horrible watery macrobrew taste. No hops, no malt and a bit of skunkyness....GREAT! Nothing palatable, just fades away to nothing. Basically a long description of why you shouldn't buy this beer. But if you want to: I bought this 16 ounce can at Trader Joe's in Falls Church, Virginia and split it with good friend JonR888710.

Skunky and nice piss-yellow color. I hate to say it but I'd drink a Heineken before this. Nasty.
