Description
United Dutch Breweries in Breda was created when the Belgian Interbrew closed the Breda Oranjeboom brewery in 2004, which it had taken over in 1995. Oranjeboom's export department carried out a management buy-out and continued independently with Oranjeboom's brand portfolio, which was acquired from Interbrew. The beers are not brewed anymore in Breda but elsewhere.

33 cl. can @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg.
Clear dark golden with a big white head. Malty caramel aroma with hops. Sweet taste with a bittersweet finish. Not really refined but it is a decent macro imperial IPA.

50cl can. Pours copies dark gold, with fine white foam. Aroma is strongly spiced, recalling ginger. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is weirdly sweet, though not excessive. Final is fairly dry.

Can from B&M Bargains, Todmorden. Golden with a fair carbonation and a head. Lovely smoothish Belgian yeasts are a staple here, it's just a shame it's from a can on this occasion as it does feel it would taste slightly better out of a glass receptacle.
