Through more than 200 years of making real premium craft cider, six generations of the Sheppy family have weathered the ups and downs of combining farming with cider-making by embracing change and opportunity.

Today David Sheppy the incumbent Master of Cider, applies his unrivalled knowledge and expertise from a lifetime of cider making to turn our home-grown apples into some of the finest and award winning ciders.

Fifteen of our 90 acres of orchards we planted with tradition standard apple trees. Eight acres of these are certified organic. The remaining 75 acres contain bush trees planted at between 200 and 300 trees per acre, so about 19,000 trees in total at Sheppy's.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow color with no head. Has a fruity slightly tart apple aroma. Fruity tart apple flavor. Has a fruity sweetish apple finish.

Bottle. Yellow colour. Moderate apple aroma and flavor. Medium sweet. Some (week) sulfouric notes. Average finish. Oily palate. There are better and less expensive ciders around.

Bottle 500ml. clear glass @ home.Clear light to medium yellow colour initial with a small to average, frothy and speaking, fair lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, tart apple, yellow apples, wood, vanilla notes. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light acidic with a average duration, dry, fresh, apple tart, light apple vinegar notes. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat but fizzy ! [20110911]

Can @ Odense Tasting, September 2011. Pours clear golden with bubbles on top. Wood and sweet red apples. Fairly dry and crisp.

Golden with a tiny white head. Aroma of apple with a wooden note and some tannin. Dry, juicy flavour with some tannin.

Bottle at home 29th August 2011, picked this up at Millets Farm, Frilford, Oxon, August 2011 Pours silvery gold, good clarity. This is initially quite sweet, but there is a lovely curly appley tanginess that teases the ol’ tastebuds, its not that complicated but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would happily have another. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5

Bottled (from Alko). Golden colour, no head. Aroma is sour apples, vinegar, some mild sweet apples as well. Flavour is vinegar, some sweetish sour apples, mild wooden notes as well as some slight alcohol.
