Description
In 1994 Nino Bacelle decides - after a lot of experimental brews - that he is ready to bring his own beer to the market. It’s the start of Brewery Nino Bacelle. In 1995 Nino meets Guido Devos through the beer tasters association HOP. Guido is a founding member of HOP and has been active as an amateur brewer for years. Nino and Guido decide to pool resources and knowledge and hereby “Brewery Nino Bacelle“ turns into Brewery De Ranke. This name refers to the vines on which the main ingredient for beer grows: hops. The beers are brewed at the Deca Brewery
In 2005, after 11 years of brewing at Brewery Deca, Nino and Guido decide to start their own brewery in Dottenijs.

Draught @ Taproom De Ranke. Pours a slightly unclear glowing gold, large white head. Herbal fresh hop nose, continuing to taste. Very fresh-tasting, rustic malt grain, medium bodied, medium carbonation, a little too herbal but overall a nice speciale.

Draught @ Taproom De Ranke. Pours a slightly cloudy golden blonde, white head. Aroma is hoppy, herbal. Not massively bitter to taste, not as much as I expected given the high bitterness of XX bitter, perhaps bottle would be different? Excellent balanced bitterness all the same, harvest malt, really good.

Draught @ Taproom De Ranke. Pours a deep unclear red, off-white pinkish ring atop. Fresh, vibrant, fresh-picked wild cherry nose. Flavour profile has a wonderfully prickly wild sour character entertaining a fruity cherry presence. Fresh, lively and flavoursome kriek. Really good.

Super tasty. Nice tartness, not wildly acidic, a little lemon, pale wood, bitter grass, white grape, balancing sweetness. Light bodied with spritzy, massaging carbonation. Highly clean to finish. A stunner.

Bottle shared with the boys. Barnyard, light phenols, funk, apple skin, citruses, and the most surprising of all, sesame. Loads of it. What's there not to love?

Bottle shared with the boys. Szintén az este post-jegyzetelős, maximum már csak pontozós szakaszából.
