08/10/18, wish it we're fresher but nice smooth hop flavor, hints of the tropical it once was.

473ml can from Brewdog. Hazy, sweet and tropical fruity with some pine, mango, citrus and grass. Quite sweet and heavy. Okay.

Keg at Brewdog Canary Wharf, London. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, tropical fruit, peach, mango on the nose. Tastes hoppy, tropical fruit, peach, mango, hint of pine, juicy. This was very nice indeed, if the bar wasn't so rammed I'd have had a couple more.
Tropical juice, wonderful artwork. Sensational beer. Really digging these beers. Might be worth a trip to Connecticut.

Keg at BD Aberdeen. It pours lightly hay golden with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, mango, persimmon, apricot, tinned pineapple and light marmalade. The taste is dry, bitter, green, punchy, bright, pithy, zesty citrus, apricot, persimmon, tinned peach, mango, boozy kick, lemongrass. And peppery spice with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Maybe a bit hot? Decent gear anyhow.

Keg at BD Aberdeen. It pours crazy cloudy soft orange with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is green, pine, spruce, papaya, ripe stone fruits, persimmon and mango. The taste is slick, thick, du bitterness, green, spicy, pine, spruce, floral, soapy citrus, slightly chalky, floury bread, light dankness, light alcohol and straw with a kind of sappy finish. Medium to heavy body and dense, fine carbonation. A bit soapy to be honest. Taste doesn't live up to the aroma.. OK.

Can pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is cloudy light brown-orange with lots of large, dark floaties, no sparkle, finger-width, beige, foamy head with fair retention and mild soapy lacing. Aroma is sweet berries bordering on candied sugar, citrus, lighter pine and whiff of tart, overripe fruit. Taste is orange citrus, fruit, light pine, mild bitter herb, and an initial transient, pleasant benzene/gasoline burst toward the finish. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, soft-to-average carbonation and dry, mix of sweet and mildly bitter finish. Overall, pretty amazing complexity for a single-hop variety (and this was on the older side for an IPA). Well done. Too bad it looks like hell.
Loving the mini comics on these CTVB cans. Hopefully Hopman can save me from the Hopyard, until then, I must keep dancing.
Hoppy City is in need of a hero, Hopman steps forward and delivers a flavorful punch of a citrus hop that leaves you wanting more.
