Bottle from a Makati Family Mart. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin bubbly white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is sweet grainy malts, banana. The flavour is strong sweet with a crisp grainy malt, mineral, herby, light watery palate. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Watery, no body and no flavour that I liked. Pretty awful.

A hazed blonde witbier with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet grainy malt with light curacao, light mineral notes, boring. In mouth, watery and boring, light mineral notes, light banana esters, blah. Bottle from mini stop store on Remedios st, Manila. 45 Pesos.

About 250¥ and brewed in the Philippines! A very pale cloudy gold with a fizzy white head. Decidedly citrus peel and wheat aroma, sweet but decent at the price. Medium to light bodied with a raspy scratchy carbonation that gives me heartburn. The taste is super sweet citrus and thin cardboard. Drinkable but definitely on the disappointing side. You often get a pretty good aroma but failure in taste with these cheap imports. My main takeaway is Too Gassy.

Can courtesy of Richard following his trip to Manila. Pours a pale gold colour with a small white head. Very little by way of aroma, some malt but mainly an aroma of lemonade shandy. Medium to heavy sweetness. Thin body, not especially high carbonation. Had no concept of it being 7%. Not very good, certainly not as good as the ’light’ version recently sampled from same source.
