(The 1853 version has added Brett yeast). Hazy light brown colour with no head. Aroma and flavour have base malt notes and just a little amount of funky yeast. Quite sedate.

Cask at Reading BF. Dark brown with a beige head. Chocolate, coffee, blackcurrant, cough mixture and a touch of sourness. The cough mixture was a bit too strong; without that it would have been a decent, smooth full-bodied porter.
