Bottle from Pigs Ear a coupla years back. Oops, mebbe should not of aged this one - let’s see. Hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy and mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Soft malts, a nice fluffy creamy sweetness. Touches of caramel and toffee. Light bretty savoury vibe. Modest and smooth dried fruits which are well integrated. Smooth pine on the dry crispy finish. Well if this is a good approximation of an 1892 beer then I can see why beer was so popular in those days.

Cask. Pale amber color. Caramel and soft brett in the aroma. Caramelly yet dry flavor. Just a hint of sourness. Licorice. Drinkable.

GBBF Day 3. Cask. Hazy gold amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness. Smooth pine. Smooth floral fruits. Light finish. Nice enough.

ABV: 4.6%. Unclear medium orange - amber yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, apple. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, fruity hops, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190807]

Cask at the Tap and Vine, Penwortham. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of floral hops, tangerine, light tropical fruit. Taste is light bitter, subtle tropical fruit. Clean finish.

Cask at the monks Inn Hemel. A hazed brushed gold coloured pour with loose white head. Aroma is spicy, earthy citrus, little custard, grassy. Flavour is composed of rustic grains, grassy hop, zippy lemon, bready, brambles, hedgerow hop. Palate is semi sweet, grainy, lowish carbonation.

Near clear amber with not much head. Grainy bitter raw ale with some greasy brett funk and earthy bitterness.

Cask at In de Wildeman. Murky brownish with white head. Caramel, sweet malts, soft Bretty notes in a leathery way, orange, soft hops. Medium sweet and just medium bitter. Medium bodied, no carbonation.
