375 ml vintage 2009, bottled 2017. Amber, slightly hazy body. Sweet, dense aroma of pears, honey, fruit gum, almond. Tastes very dry, less aromatic. Oily mouthfeel. Finishes very dry, warm, fruity, wooden, a bit nutty. I should have went with the sweet version, not my cup of tea. Lovely nose with dense fruits, but tastes much too dry, not well balanced in my opinion. Score: 8 / 4 / 6 / 3 / 14

Thnx to SinH4 ! Pours clear yellown smell is a bit like cognac. Very complex, oaky, mild alcohol. Taste is full, booze, very dry, sharp, boozy. intense !

Thnx to SinH4 ! Pours light, wattery yellow. Smell is intense, sweet, fruity. Mild booze. Taste is full, sweet, intense, nutty, fruity, bit boozy, nutty ending.

Another microsample shared thanks to Maakun and SinHa 🙏 clear golden. This one is sweeter. Port, raisans, apple pie with raisans, sukade, lemonrind, rusty port and wood notes. Big sweet and and boozy, moderate bitter, tart lemony pear fruity edges.

Shared microsample on the roof, many thanks to Maakun and SinHa. Clear golden. Smells boozy and woody. Wood, pear peels, whisky barrel, touch of vanilla and almond liquor. Boozy rough edges. Quite sweet and bitter. Over medium body and no carbo left.

Big sweet and and boozy, moderate bitter, tart lemony pear fruity edges. Full body and no noticeable carbonation. Bottle sampled thanks to SinH4!! Clear darker golden with no head. Sweet pear, toffee, vanilla, oak, light alcohol, brandy, cognac, sherry, spicy grapes, raisins, sour pear and apples, sweet oak. Quite sweet, over light sour and light bitter. Full bodied. Lovely!

Small sample thanks to SinH4! Clear golden with no head. Soft dry pear, marzipan, whisky, vanilla, strong oak, boozy, cognac, dry sherry. Lots of nice oxidized and woody notes, soft lemon, tart pear and dark sugary notes. Medium sweet and sour, light bitter. Solid medium bodied. More like a distillate, but quite nice.

Bottle consumed with the Munich Ratebeer Group Tasting at Jonas's house, Garching, Monday 15th April 2019. I did enjoy this, but it is dry perhaps too dry for me, far too dry, I prefer the sweet, but I got used to it and appreciated it. However as Stefan suggests this is better mixed with the sweet.
