Aus der Flasche (bbe 18.03.2027) im 2026-08 getrunken. Hier hat Mikkeller wieder einmal ein tolles, wunderbar ausgewogenes Imperial Stout gebraut. Die schokoladigen Kirscharomen machen hier einfach Spaß. Die Röstbitterkeit wird durch den Muscovado-Zucker und die Laktose perfekt in der Balance gehalten. Auch der Alkoholgehalt ist perfekt eingebunden.

Rich mahogany brown with a beige cap that quickly dissipates to the edge.
Nose is stewed fruits, dark malts, figs, dates, vinous notes, whisper of alcohol.
Taste comprises fruit cake mix, spice, booze, pipe tobacco, toffee, dark malts.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a good lick of alcohol.
Solid stuff ... has held up very well over time.

0.44l can. Hazy yellow body with a thin white head. First impression of the aroma is that it's quite salty. Kind of like sea water. It also shows notes of grapefruit, lemon peel and lime. Taste of grapefruit, lime, sugar syrup and salt. Not a conventional beer to say the least, but it's refreshing for sure. OK brew.

Can at home. Yellow golden color, medium sized white head. Aroma and flavor are lightly malts, hoppy but a bit unfresh as in old, moderately bitter. Hmm meh.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Purple, rich pink head. Aroma of black currant sorbet. Tart with light to medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Black currant torbet, mild lactic acid. No bitterness. Pleasant as a soft drink.
