Bottle from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Spicy with kruidkoek, malt, caramel, touch of almon, cinnamon. Cookie Red Ale, brewed with actual Oranjekoek from Heerenveen. It works better than you'd think. Moderate bittersweet, the beer deserves a fuller body.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Aroma is yeasty and fairly fruity with notes of orange, spicy yeast, malt, some bittering hop. The almond cookies are rather subtle. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and mild bitter. Medium body. Solid Tripel, with or without Dúmkes.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark brown colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, minimally nutty, caramel malty aroma, some dark caramel, hints of toffee, praline, whiffs of alcohol. Taste is bitter and alcoholic, slightly caramel malty, diluted hints of dark caramel, a tartish strand; warming, alcoholic finish. Watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Boozy, bitter, hardly drinkable - nope.

Shared bottle on board Baluba in Grou, Netherlands, 06.07.23. Dark brown. Diminishing brown head. Typical Dubel aroma and taste of sweet roasted malt, dates, sour coffee and dried berries. Quite dry.

Bottle @ Thuskomme, our neighborhood Friesian bar/restaurant. Pours hazy orange in colour and a rocky off white head. Aroma's: sweetish, herbal or something typical that I can't put my finger on. Retronasal it's sweet, fruit, sugar, malty. Flavour is above moderate sweet, light fruity, yeasty. Medium bodied. Firm carbonation.

Brown with a big beige head. Dark caramel, dark fruits and some DMS. Sweet taste with a low bitter, bit sharp finish. Could certainly use some fine-tuning.
