Bottle 0,75l. Thanks to Rune for sharing this masterpiece! Bright golden. Lot of filigrees on the glass. Fruity aroma dominated by grapefruit. Flavor in the same direction with more subtle fruits. A long fruity aftertaste. Alcohol well hidden.

The bottle is the size of a split bottle of champagne, interesting presentation for a beer of this caliber. The title gives you a hint of what to expect, pours a deep, oily, opaque black with a delicate, slim, white head. Smells of roasted malt, alcohol and chocolate. Flavor is heavy on the chocolate, dark fruit, nuts, and coffee. The finish has plenty of heat from the alcohol and is thick on the tongue and in the throat with a lasting coffee bitterness. Very complex Imperial Stout that is a rare symbiotic blend of flavor and heavy alcohol.

Big shiny offwhite head. Hazy orange body with carbonation. Peachy citric mango hop aroma with catty oily notes. Aroma is basically dominated by the hops. Dry-sweet mango peach hop taste with very fruity straw and grain notes. Aftertaste is the same. Very powerful, but still fresh. Excellent! (0.75l bottle from Gamle Strand, Copenhagen.)

Living in the states and consuming all sorts of Euro style beers brewed by local outfits, it’s nice to see a Euro outfit paying tribute to the wonderful and origional beer styles being produced on this side of the pond. From the bomber is pours a hazy but transparent, orange gold with a large frothy white head. Aroma is heavy on the hops, but nothing outrageous, pine and grapefruit mellowed out by a grainy, biscuit aroma. Flavor is heavy on the citrus bitterness rounded by sweet yet subtle toffee and malt flavors. Finish is heavy on the bitterness, but not mouth puckering like other imbalanced beers. Delicious and complex, an American style beer done with a slightly Euro flair.

Bottle courtesy of fonefan: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium foamy dark brown color head with average retention and some lacing. Aroma is vinous with some raisins and sweet malt. Taste is quite intensely sweet with notes of raisins and alcohol notes are also discernable. Full body with some medium carbonation with an oily texture. While I think I understand the intent of the brewer I found that this beer was way too sweet and too much alcohol was apparent.

This is the sort of beer that makes me have hope for the porter style. Very rich and thick, great smooth palate. One of the most heavily hopped porters I have had, with lots of hops in the aroma and the flavor. The flavor also has malt, and bitter chocolate and coffee.

A beautiful dark amber ale with a thick light moka head. Aroma is of complex hops, pihhey, nutty, light berry notes. In mouth, a sweet caramel with smoked peated notes, nutty, lingering herbal hops, citrus. Mouthfeel is a bit lighter than expected, but overall, this is a pleasant experience. Bieropholie import.

This has an opaque black body that throws up a big mocha colored head. Big coffee nose. The coffee comes across again in the flavor and is joined by bitter chocolate and some smoke. A good solid Porter that is just a bit different.
