Clear gold in color with a three-finger white head. Aroma is well balanced with a hint of pineapple. Taste is also well balanced with hints of pineapple.

Pretty weak, reminiscent of the mediocre IPAs mid-Aughts brewpubs would have on tap before the style took over the beer world. Pine, funky wort, some grapefruit, cardboard, and…a little mothball? Not great.

16oz can translucent deep brown black with some beige head that faded fast.  Nose has caramel and malt and spiced nuts.  Molasses.  Charleston chew.  Flavor has macchiato, spices, malt, licorice.  A touch of booze and something that makes me feel an infection is lurking.  Spicy, spritzy, off dry finish.  Medium bodied.  6 4 6 3 12

Pretty hazy and murky orange and bronze coloured body with a fairly thin, one to two centimetre tall off-white head that leaves a pretty ugly lace on the sides. Aroma of citrus fruit, light grass, hay and some subdued sugars, without anything pungent. Light to Medium-bodied; Very crisp, grassy and citrusey flavours show at first with a nice floral and orange note from the hops with a good bitterness from the alpha acids, with a smooth layer of malt for support, with an enjoyable balance and still a good dose of complexity. Aftertaste shows some bitterness from the alpha acids here, but more of a robust and mellow, grassy and very citrusey easy-drinking beer with a steady hit of flavours, some of them bitter. Overall, about what I expected here, with some nuanced flavours and a nice citrusey, grassy and floral punch throughout that is purely new school IPA, in a good way. Great to try from South Carolina and not a bad beer at all - worth trying if you can find it, like I did - away from home! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Lowe's Foods in Pawley's Island, South Carolina for US$1,87 (as part of a mixed six pack) sampled at my house here in Washington on 27-April-2022.
