(swing top bottle) Clear, amber colour with a big and tanned foamy head. Slightly nutty cara-malty aroma with hints of sweat, sulphur. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Cara-malty taste with bready accents and a tinge of herbal hoppy spice; moderately dry and mildly bitter hoppy finish. 25.V.13

(swing top bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Delicately bready malty aroma with a mildly spicy hoppy touch. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Bready cara-malty taste with a tinge of oak honey and notes of popcorn; moderately sweet and mildly hop bitter finish with a balanced cara-malty touch. Solid. 25.V.13

Herb-würziger, simpler und süffiger Beginn. Im Mittelteil wässriger werdend, gering hopfig. Etwas holzig, dumpf getreidig-süß zum Ende. Ein trinkbares Bier, das niemandem weh tut. 10/7/9/7/8/7

Dezent herber Beginn mit geringer Süße und mittelstarker Hopfigkeit. Im Mittelteil ist die Herbe schwächer, mild würzig, süffig. Auch im Abgang ist das Bier süffig und bleibt mit der Würzigkeit etwas hinter seinen Möglichkeiten zurück. 9/7/9/7/7/7

bottle, thanks wastl! Deep brown colour, large and creamy beige head. Caramel, roasetd malts, dark fruit - combined with a smooth and velvety palate this makes a highly enjoyable example of the style.

bottle from wastl - thanks! Only slightly hazy, extremely pale yellow, large white head. I have rarely seen such a pale beer. Slightly fruity and yeasty with hints of lemon. Unusual but good.
