Buegelverschlußflasche: Deep golden, hazy, medium-sized loose - quite stable - white head; a mix of caramelly wheat, cloves and herbal hops in the nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, pretty tart; traces of vegetables in the dryish, slightly vinous, clovey and herbal-hoppy finish. Clovey and hoppy aromas do not work together well here...

26-10-16 // bottle. Best before 10/16. Pours an amber coloured beer with solid head. This beer doesnt know what it wants to be. Some yeasty Bock notes, along with some rye notes. Light fruitiness. Quite bitter, light herbal. --- Beer merged from original tick of Sander Seasonal Roggie Roggstar on 09 Sep 2020 at 10:34 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5. Original review text: 23-08-20 // 2020 version. Different to the previous version. IPA? It’s fermented with a wheat beer yeast and those banana and clove spicy, ester aromas are dominant. Good hoppynes and bitterness like an IPA as well on the other hand. A light robust rye maltiness. Malt sweetness meets wheat yeast and hop bitterness. --- Beer merged from original tick of Roggie Roggstar (2020) on 23 Aug 2020 at 23:01 - Score: 7. Original review text: IPA? Pours reddish brown from the bottle. The head is foamy and extremely large. Aroma is caramel and apple. Taste is overall driven by the malt base with a steady sweet caramel overtone dominating. Underneath it is a tart apple sourness that becomes more pronounced during the finish. Body is light to medium. Good.
