Smooth and slightly sourish woody aroma. Round and hints of sourish red wine. The body is smooth and dark malty, round and fresh. The sourness is for me a bit too mich in the foreground, but a round and well-made beer!

(bottle, 33cl, as Altbier-Bock 2.0) Hazy, dark amber colour with a beige and tall foamy head. Piney, spicy and slightly fruity hoppy aroma with notes of nettles, grass and grapefruit. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark and mildly toasted malt character with notes of bread crusts, backed by mainly piney, spicy and subtle fruity hops, which are dominating the dry and moderately hop bitter finish. Reminds me a bit of a stronger first generation Schumacher 1838. 20.IX.16

75cl bottle. Trübes orange goldenes Bier mit einer geringen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch nach reifen roten Früchten, holzig, geringe Säure. Geschmack leicht säuerlich malzig, holzig, rote Früchte.

Bottle. Orange color with white head. Aroma is hoppy, mostly oranges, not so much barrel. Taste is the same, quite fresh, quite wild. Not excellent.
