19th Nov 2018. Monthly Share Group meeting in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury, only three of us this time. Cheers Mat for this nightcap. 33cl bottle (# 0165 from 1299). Really liked the red hints in this dark brown brew, semi-sweet, semi-dry wine in the mouth. Lovely drink to finish the night off.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Nov 18. Pours deep dark brown, small off-white topping. Lightly bretty sherbetty nose, layered malt to taste with a curious deep sweetness that i assume is partly attributed to the red wine barrel aging, some chocolate notes, gentle dry roast. Nice end to the evening.

Bottle @Ulfborg Tasting. Clear, dark brown with tiny light beige head. Aroma has malt and light coffee notes. Wood. Malty, slightly roasted flavour, light caramely notes, light coffee and dark choc. Woody dryness.

Bottle. Frothy white fair mostly diminishing head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle, 7.5%. Clear very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, bread and a little dusty. Flavour is roasted malt, caramel, bread, chocolate, medium sweet, little liquorice and a little bitter.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. 7.5 % ABV. Clear dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is dry, roasted malt, chocolate and heavy wood. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 150918

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, wood, roast malt, hops and has a light bitter and sweet finish.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 08.12.2018. Aroma has odd artifical licorice and burnt sugar. Flavour has molasses, burnt sugar, some licorice and sweet rye pudding -like malt. Also some rubbery notes. Sweet all the way and far from balanced. Drinkable anyway.
