(swing top bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a short and off-white foamy head. Distinctively banana-fruity aroma with mildly bready malty and delicately wheaty notes, also phenolic spices in the background. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a flat carbonation. Slightly bready malty taste with present notes of banana, as well as spicy accents; sweet and moderately fruity also quite sticky finish due to the rather flat carbonation. 24.II.16

(bottle, 75cl) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a short and off-white foamy head. Piney, earthy and slightly fruity hoppy aroma with a mildly malty and phenolic spicy background. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, almost full bodied with a calm carbonation. Soft yeasty malty base, delicately wheaty with present piney and mildly fruity hops, backed by shades of banana esters; alcohol is showing up nfrom the middle part, staying present towards the bitter-sweet finish. A tad too much alcoholic, lacks also a bit fruit character. 22.II.16

330ml bottle [#146 of 1516]. Opaque, quasi black colour with average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, brown head. Chocolately, wheaty, slightly grainy and fruity aroma, notes of milk chocolate and dark chocolate, red and dark fruit, blue grapes, a smoky touch of liquorice. Taste is slightly roasty, wheaty, dark malty, chocolately and fruity, notes of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, blue grapes, red and dark fruit, a touch of liquorice, subtle smokiness; mild hop bitterness crystallises in the finish. Full body, smooth, soft, silky palate, oily texture. Rich and complex, well balanced - excellent.

Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is European Cascade: grapefruit and celery, a bit earthy. Banana yeast coming through, the aroma is a nice mixture. A bit phenolic as well. Taste is phenolic booze, but also fresh bananas (subtle though), earthy hops. You feel the ABV. Silky mouthfeel. Good beer, but the taste is a bit too boozy for me.

(swing top bottle, 33cl) Murky brown colour with a beige and medium-sized foamy head. Oaky, mildly vinous berry-fruity malty aroma with notes of vanilla and caramel, almost bit perfumed. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Mildly dark malt character with loads of oaky notes and vanilla, backed by berry-fruity and traces of morellos; almost dry, oaky and slightly vinous fruity finish. Okay, perhaps a little bit too much oak flavour. 19.II.16

(swing top bottle, 33cl) Hazy, slightly reddish golden colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Yeasty, mildly fruity hoppy aroma with notes of berries, citrus and shades of resin, discreetly malty background. Slightly bitter and mildly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Soft malty base with traces of caramel, sour dough, accompanied by a moderately fruity hoppy touch; a bit slim, fruity hoppy, even a tad vinous finish. Not a great, but sessionable brew. 14.II.16

(swing top bottle, 33cl) Hazy, light-amber colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Fruity and discreetly resiny hoppy aroma with notes of citrus and tangerines, backed by mildly cara-malt. Moderately bitter and delicately sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a calm carbonation. Mildly cara-malty base with a dry mouthfeel and resiny and moderately fruity hops, drying the brew towards the moderately hop bitter, spicy and quite piney/resiny finish. Not perfectly rounded but a perfect match for the usual hop head. 13.II.16

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, light-amber colour with a big and firm, slightly off-white foamy head. Piney, herbal spicy and mildly fruity hoppy aroma, including notes of melon and tangerine, backed by slightly caramelly malt. Moderately bitter flavour, light bodied with a crisp, almost a tad sharp carbonation. Dry and mildly cara-malty base with loads of resiny, herbal, hay-like and slightly fruity hops, lingering into the dry, slim and moderately hop bitter finish. “Extreme”ly nice. 12.II.16
