Das erste Bier im Jahre 2024 kommt aus einer Kalea-Bierbox 🎁, welche mir meine Frau zu Weihnachten geschenkt hat. Das Bier ist ein klassisches deutsches Lager, das aber doch einen schönen, vollen Körper 🏋️hat. So lässt es sich gut trinken, auch wenn es sonst eher einfach ist.

330 ml bottle. Unclear amber with a creamy head. Caramel, stone fruit, lemon zest, rye bread. Caramel fruit sweetness, dry zesty bitterness. Medium bodied, creamy oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry zesty caramel finish. Decent APA.

Another advent calendar day another Helles. Gold pour and white head. Grainy nose. Tastes of grains, sweet malts touch of herbs. Chewy mouthfeel.

Bottle, 5.6%. Good malty aroma, slightly spicy. Clear dark golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is malty and faintly spicy with a yeasty aftertaste. Low bitterness.

Kupferfarben. Gute Trübung. Malzbetont. Frucht (Grapefruit, Zitronenschale, Mandarine, Melone) folgt aber auf den Fuß. Ein Hauch Karamell schwingt mit. Süße und Bitternoten sind fast gleichberechtigt (letztendlich gewinnt aber der reichlich vorhandene Hopfen). Schönes volles Mundgefühl. Weich, wenig Kohlensäure. Gut.

500ml bottle from the Lidl Festbier slab. Pours a deep dark brown, off-white head. Caramel and toffee represented well, with bready nutty shades, nice drinkability.

5,6 % Alkohol, rotblond und klar in Glas, „Märzen Festbier“ steht auf der Flasche - das passt so alles. Schöner cremiger Schaum. Leckerer Geruch aus aromatischem Malz, etwas Holz und Likör. Beim Geschmack bestimmt das Malz. Leichte florale Noten, Hopfung allerdings eher mild bis medium. Der etwas höhere Alkoholgehalt ist deutlich zu erschmecken - ich hätte ihn blind verkostet sogar auf über 6,0 % geschätzt. Bei den ersten 2 - 3 Schlucken kommt noch eine leichte Eisennote durch, die dann aber verschwindet. Weich und voll, nicht allzu viel Kohlensäure. Ich weiß nicht, ob ich davon auf einem Volksfest mehr als 2 - 3 Maß trinken könnte - trotzdem aber ein anständiges, klassisches Märzen. Ganz getreu diesem Bierstil und gekonnt in der Ausführung.

Bottle. Light golden, clear, white foam. Aroma: sweet, candy, cookies, a little hops. Taste: malty, candy, cookies, a little bitter, soft, not bad.

Short 0,33 l bottle. BB 07.01.2024. Clear golden with a more than one finger white foamy head in the glass. Caramel with dry grain on the nose.Taste starts with a lot of caramel, increasing grainy and bitter hop. Malty in the second section. Mid carbonated. Long lasting bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice one
