Description
Started as a project to celebrate friendship by bringing Belgian recipes to Finland, but now thriving in Belgium! All recipes are made by Martin, whose last name is Renard, which means fox in French and that's also what Kettu means in Finnish, hence the name! We started out launching more Belgian inspired beers, but now go all out and try different things, always keeping the Belgian roots of the brand in mind and since the arrival of the brand in Belgium we also sometimes include some Finnish elements. Kettu is now brewed by Martin at Cabardouche in Antwerp.

Draught Slowly disappearing dark cream to tan head over jet-black beer. Coffee, roast coffeebeans, breadcrust. Diluted sweetish black coffee. Bit of a disappointment, being very demure tastewise, and I cannot find the dark fruity esters the blurb speaks of. Watery feel, not very carbonated. Better is possible, to put it nicely.

Draught Huge, unbelievably stable, dense yellowish, head over hazy orange-ochre beer. Towering head seriously hampers nasal perception. Dry hops, hopoil, Hessian sacks. Faint spices, dry powdered, and faintly other grains. Light sourish, bit meaty flavour. Dry breakfast grains as muesli or oatflakes. Retronasal and in the aftertaste strongly resin, pine. Quite creamy, the rye working. Very well-carbonated, slick. Excellent! Very tasty, and (sorry for the horribly limey term) more-ish.

Almost clear golden pour and a fine head.
Fine intensity in the aroma
Balanced sweetness and bitternes
Also a fine carbonation level.
Good character.
Malty, rye, resinous, some yeast, fruity and grapefruit hoppy flavor.

Draught Very good yellowish head over fully hazy orange-yellow beer. Very intense fruity nose, asafoetida and lots of ureum. Hopesters, citrus. Intense fruity flavour: citrus, mango, melon. Bitterish finish, hoppy, straw, dry hopbales. Seems fruitfilled, medium carbonation, refreshing. Far from bad! Despite the yeast used, the result is real IPA, not the infamous "Belgian" IPA.

Erhöhte Karbonisierung. Säuerlicher Beginn mit angenehm fruchtigen Noten. Trockene Herbe, Limette, moderat getreidig. Zum Schluss nimmt die Intensität schnell ab, kurzer Abgang. 6/9/5/9/8/8

Pours clear, light yellow. No head. Scent is lemony. Wheat, tart impression. Taste is tart, dry, lemony. Medium low to low carbo. Thin body, touch herbal / green by the hops that ate to silent to support the expectations a name with 'Dry Hopped' in it bring to the table.

Draught Huge, dense, darker cream head, stable, over virtually black beer. Dry hops, dry hopbales, dry chocolate. (Black) chocolate very outspoken, again Hessian sacks, dried hosp. Hint at brown candi sugar, sweet brown bread. CO² very imposing in the MF, chocolate flows out into the aftertaste. At least medium bodied. More than decent BIPA (though the recently tasted Tourist #23 tops it easily).

Draught Small white head over cold hazed golden beer. Very attractive C-hops' nose, with faint hints of citrus, exotic fruit, asafoetida, garden herbs as lemonbalm, lemonthyme, cilandro. Very mild acidity with floral overtones, blossoms, diluted (exotic) fruitjuice. Some soft velvety sweetness underneath. Refreshing, soft carbonation, bit slick. Very drinkable.
