Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, molasses, dark malt, sweet malt, sweet sugary plums, wood - soy sauce, light smoked plums. Flavor is heavy sweet with a long duration, roasted, plums, sugary plums, sweet malt, dark fruit - soy sauce, wood. ABV: 10.3%. Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, sweet malt, dark malt, wood, alcohol - bourbon, light burnt. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, wood - aok, dark malt, chocolate - roasted, fresh oak, barrel - wood, sweet malt, dark fruit, medium dry. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20210429]

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with average to huge, thick, fluffy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Fruity hoppy, slightly woody, piney and biscuity, pale malty aroma, rather unspecific fruitiness (and hoppiness) with blurred hints of lemon, pear, pineapple, basil, pine. Taste is citrusy fruity and minimally piney and grassy, earthy-leafy hoppy, notes of lemon, a touch of lemongrass, lemon tea, whiffs of pear, pineapple, wood, very cautious hints of basil, maybe even sorrel, minimally waxy aspects; sweet-ish, biscuity, pale malty basis. Oily-watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally dry palate, medium to fine carbonation. Definitely not paradigmatic West Coast style (as is suggested on the label), New England style neither (despite the haziness); in a way close to the hybrid style of Kernel IPAs, but on a lower level of quality - pretty decent.

330ml bottle from Sophie's Beer Store and drunk at home. Purplish black, opaque and flat. Intense dark malts, plum and yeast extract in the aroma. Sweet taste with sour notes from the dried plum, leading to bitterness in the long finish. Bitter chocolate, stone fruit and soy sauce in the aftertaste. The body is thick and syrupy with low carbonation. A very nice beer, and quite unlike anything I've tried before.

ABV: 4.0%. Muddy matt medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, tart, fruit juice, mango. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, fruit juice, mango, fruity, light gose salty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20201205]
