Batch 8: hazy muddy dark orange with a fizzy off-white head. More tropical than the other batch I tried, nice pineapple, mango, caramel, tangerine, light overripe melon. Nice mouthfeel, quite low bitterness, decently juicy. This was probably very good when it was fresh. From bottle thanks to the goddamn brewer. Batch 13. Hazy dark orange, muddy, with an off-white head. Caramel, orange zest, pineapple, mango, light passion fruit, yeast. Medium body and carbonation and a fizzy hoppy finish. 3.7/4 --- Beer merged from original tick of Crowd Control on 22 May 2017 at 22:11 - Score:

BOTTLE 50 CL, batch 002. Cloudy golden, big creamy head. Big fruity and tart aroma - ripe pears and pine apple, weizen acidity, a little mealy, maybe just a tiny bit too hot. The taste is fruty, with a hint of pear lollipops, but also dry and tart enough, unlike the first batch. The finish lets you down a bit, otherwise a very good good and rich weizen. The mouthfeel is juicy and really quenching. 7-4-7-4-14=3,6.
12-MAY-2017. BOTTLE 50 CL, batch 001. Slightly cloudy, golden, humble head. The aroma has pears and bananas, a little hot. Phenolic notes ranging from cloves to nail polish remover. The taste follows, fruity and hot, pear drops. On the sweeter side overall, but there’s still a glimpse of wheat tartness. Full-bodied, a bit hard to drink, with low to moderate carbonation. Not bad, a bit unwieldy. 6-3-7-3-13=3,2

BOTTLE 33 CL. Hazy deep red, beige head. Rich malty nose, toffee, milky caramel, fruit pie, jam, dried apricots. Some clovy spice and almost no alcohol. Some Bourbon? Similar, though less sophisticated taste - rich fruity and jammy, with just the right amount of alcoholic heat and spice, some hop bitterness. Very good.

BOTTLE 50 CL. Murky orange, soapy white head. The aroma is mostly hoppy and fruity, less malty - notes of tropical fruit, tangerines, citrus pith and some zest. The taste follows - fruity/citrus hops, no malts, citrus peel pithy bitterness. A hint of diesel. Light but chewy body. A touch of yeastiness in the aftertaste.

--- Beer merged from original tick of Dumpster Bear on 06 Apr 2017 at 10:02 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. Original review text: 33cl bottle. Dark brown pour with a thin beige head. Notes of roasted malts, fresh blueberries, and some chocolate. The fruit is easily identifiable and fresh, but the beer itself is a bit lacking. Still pretty enjoyable.

An interesting experiment, but not my favourite hop selection.

Very dark brown pour with a tall beige head that gives way to a thin lacing. Notes of roasted malts, roasted coffee, dark chocolate, some funky onion hops, some cat piss in the aroma, light molasses. Not your usual black IPA.

Original review text: 50cl bottle. Dark orange pour, hazy, with a tall off-white head. Notes of caramel, caramelized onions, oranges, lemon zest, pine resin, malt sugars, oats, light hip spicy notes. The bottle is a bit old and the hops have faded, but the smooth texture, bitter-sweet body and nice hop notes make this feel like a nice west-coast malty IPA/DIPA. Not bad!
