On tap at Scotch Wine Bar, Blenheim. Pours dark brown with a big shortlived head. Roasty chocolate and mocca nose. Rather thin taste, easily drinkable, a bit underwhelming after the superb aroma.

Dark with a tan head. Chocolate, malty, lightly toasted, with a hint of bitterness. So nice. Probably my favorite ParrotDog I’ve had a chance to try.

Nice caramel malt, lightly boozy, full of flavorful rustic bitterness. Finishes dry. Fill it up again, please.

While I would generally say this is a rather standard, non-description English pale ale I would also add that it is quite well done and would not let you down upon having a glass. Lightly malty with crisp hops. Pleasant.

Pours clear gold with a white head. Flavor is grain malt with a solid hop bite on the finish. This would be a great summer refresher.

Bottle. Gold with an inch of white head. Aroma of hay, dough, oranges, cloves, white pepper. Sweet with a dryish moderately bitter finish. Doughy with oranges, cloves, coriander. Just a little soapy. No overt alcohol. Doesn’t have that piercing quality of the Duvel it apes (or its fabulous head), but it’s pretty good.

It has a really nice, dusty aroma of grapefruits, rockmelon, musk stick and a hint of dust. The hops are prominent but very smooth in the mouth. The main letdown is that it’s a little watery and a little short.
