On tap at the Lumsden, for North End's fifth birthday party. Pours dark red brown. Cherry, prune, date, funk, brett, red wine, wood, peppery heat, sweet, booze, port, cranberry. Decent body. More interesting than their Visitation quad, though not quite as well executed. Still an excellent beer.

On handpull at the Lumsden. Pours a deep red brown with a thick fine structured white head that lasts. Orange peel, hazelnuts, blackcurrant, biscuit, toffee, pear, almond, black pepper. Perfect body for the handpull. Probably the best cask conditioned ale I've had in NZ, and would give a lot of the top English options a run for their money too. Sensational.
