Description
Tri Martolod (Three sailors in Breton) is a traditional Breton song. It is in homage to this song that the first Artisanal Cooperative Brewery Tri Martolod was born. Tri Martolod was created in 1999 in Bénodet and launched the first traditional Breton Pils. A cooperative company from its inception, Tri Martolod has always favored people and has retained its independence from the giants of the market. Since May 2008, the Tri Martolod brewery has moved to Concarneau to the new business area of Colguen.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy amber with a huge and frothy, off-white head. Nose has subtle fruit and very little else. Body is kinda thin and watery - especially considering the ABV. A little flat. Subtle caramel notes but not really sweet with a rather bitter finish. 101219

Tap at Le Gringo in Lannion. Clear dark golden to light amber with small white head. Caramel, toffee, soft bready, light cocoa, alcohol, soft dried fruits. Over medium sweet and bitter. Full bodied with a bit boozy finish. Lots of decent malts but seriously lacks in hops.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear golden with a rich and frothy, white head. Odd, herbal aroma. Medium body, sweet malty, grainy. Ends dry with very subdued hops. Well. 200319

Bottle at La Maison De Kauign Amann in Concarneau, Brittany Sunday 11th June 2017 it’s warm and sunny. Quite tart for a wheat, perhaps the slice of lemon has perked up the tanginess. Wheaty with a lemony edge (more lemony than expected owing to the slice gratis) yolky yellow in colour with a billowing white head. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2
