Frischer und spritziger Antrunk von leichtem Hopfen und geringer Bitterkeit. Angenehme, wenn auch eher nebensächliche Grasigkeit, hell, süffig. Im Mittelteil ohne Änderung, dadurch etwas monoton. Kurzer Nachhall. 10/8/7/8//8

Picked this up from the Brewery/Bar in Marseille June 2013 consumed at home Friday 6th December 2013 Much like the other Biere de la Plaine beers I had, the only label difference is the abv stamp. I asked what these were at the brewery andwas simply told blond for all three but different strengths, so not particularly helpful. This may just be the best, very Belgian in style, it’s sweet with a little overipe banana, carbonation on the lighter side. Looks wise it is more warm gold/light amber, some spice it’s fine. Bottle that I picked up directly from the brewery in Marseille, France June 2013 consumed at Eardisley, Herefordshire Saturday 9th November 2013 This was in a large 750ml unlabelled bottle, the brewers who said that following the opening a few days before their stocks were somewhat depleted however did have this liquorice stout. I didn’t get the strength from the brewers however I would guess 5-6% approximately. On the pour this looks a little thin, the colour is light conker brown. The liquorice is subtle, taste is soft, as Baz noted this is rather smoky on the nose and also in the mouth, strength is moderate, light- medium carbonation. Easy going, smooth, no bitterness. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

I asked what these were called when I purchased them at the brewery and was simply told blonde 5% the other is also blonde but 8% I think I may have another somewhere, anyway I just called this 8. Golden in colour a little flat, sweet, thick in mouth alcohol is noticeable a bit of squidgy overipe fruit. Bit like a UK interpretation of a Belgian ale or Strong i.e. not quite there. Picked this up from the Brewery/Bar in Marseille June 2013 consumed at home Sunday 20th October 2013 Golden in colour, crystal clear, sparkling almost. Low carbonation only v.small white head. I would imagine this may have a Belgian style yeast but it isn’t ever so spicy or yeast forward. Touch thin if truth be told but this was one if the early brews. Not bad in mouth, bitterness is fine, it isn’t too sweet. A little light vanilla, mid fruitiness, its fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2
