The appearance was a dark brown color with a little tan semi-foamy film of a head. Dissipated mildly with some light stringy lace.
The aroma had some cocoa powder, earthy hops, light allspice, roasty coffee beans and a little bit of clean caramel maltiness. Light anise.
The flavor tried to bring it all together and I guess mostly did - the sweet to the roast. All seemed to blend into the aftertaste decently and brought it into the finish fairly nice.
The palate was about medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation and ABV felt coordinated nicely as projected by the brewer.
Overall, pretty good porter worthy of having again if I could get it.

The appearance was a fairly dark brown close to black color with a quickly dissipating finger’s worth of white foamy head. Sly dissipating rim of lace.
The aroma was super sweet - somewhat reminded me like bread dipped in booze, thick sweet caramel, milk chocolate and vanilla extract. Sweet pecans and almonds. Some light coffee roast at the very end.
The flavor was exceptionally sweet guiding the aftertaste in the same sort of way. Finish was pretty sticky and sweet.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it, but it started getting cloying during my consumption. Carbonation seemed a bit off - I’d say under. ABV did feel appropriate as directed by the brewer.
Overall, reminiscent of Southern Tier’s but this one supposedly had coffee in it. I did get some, but I bet if there was a bit more, it would help pull down the \"cloying\" effects that were going on. I wanted to sing Def Lepard’s \"Pour Some Sugar On Me\" while drinking this, but hey, probably would be better I replaced \"sugar\" with pour some more \"coffee\" in this beer.

The appearance was a dark copper close to a burnt amber, maybe brown color with a nice looking level foamy head that fell off at a good pace.
The aroma had a good blend of roasty to sweet caramel/toffee malts, good dose of nuts, light cocoa powder, a little bit of cocoa butter and brought in some earthy hops to bitter nicely, somewhat light.
The flavor blended the roast to the sweet pretty nice and brought in a slight sweet graininess to it. Aftertaste was what I wanted in a nice smooth brown ale. Finish was the same.
The feel was about medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt good.
Overall, pretty good brown ale I’d have again.
