Not bad xmas beer when you spent all your money on gifts instead of expensive beers

As Frestiva Lager 4.8 ABV. Might be new. Frothy white fair mostly diminishing head. Amber colour. MOderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Average light bitter fnish. Watery palate.

Bottle. Pours clear dark amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with estery touches. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with woody touches. Malty aftertaste. Not impressive but surely a reasonable thirst quencher.

50 cl can from a Netto discounter poured into a Tulip. Clear golden amber colour with a thin white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, citrus, bread, and floral hoppy notes. The taste is light bitter. Medium body. Slightly drying fruity finish. Ok.

Small cream rim over brown-black beer. Coffee, hazelnuts, oats, roasted grains, Ovomaltine, Maillard... Less sweet in the flavour than the nose suggested. Bit of cigarette ashes, coffee, and again rather nutty. Mild sweetness, bit of liquorice. Feels better bodied than it probably is. Good carbonation. Quite OK. But I would never call this a "stout" - brown ale, yes. Txs to Joren for bringing!

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Clear golden, rich head. Fruity nose with birch sap and play dough. Sweetish with light body and clean, mouthfeel. Marzipan and birch sap. Low bitterness.
